Community Service

The concepts of community and duty to serve others are pillars in the art of character building. The Martial Artist learns to be self-reliant, to draw on an inner-strength in times of stress - but with an understanding that not everyone has the benefit of this training. We teach our students to appreciate the importance of community and to actively look for ways they can serve their community or help those who are less fortunate.

Our school participates in a number of communit service activities:

High Hopes:

The High Hopes Foundation of New Hampshire is a nonprofit, volunteer organization dedicated to raising the spirits of children with debilitating chronic illnesses or life-threatening diseases by granting them their fondest wish. For over years, we have helped High Hopes, including providing volunteers, and assisting them with their balloon festival.

Food Drive:

Every fall, we conduct a Food Drive to collect canned goods and other non-perishables for distribution to Nashua-area shelters and soup kitchens.

Toys for Tots:

We support the United States Marine Corps' Toys for Tots program by raising awareness in the community and collecting donations from students, parents and friends of the school.

Free Demonstration Programs:

Over the years, we have developed and implemented a highly successful Martial Arts Demonstration series for After-School Programs and various youth and civic groups throughout Southern N.H. If you are interested in having an IKS demonstration at a function or event, please contact us.

Free Clinics:

As an active member of the community, we provide free clinics for adults and children in response to local or world events that create an atmosphere of uncertainty or fear among certain segments of the population. These clinics are designed to provide participants with a basic understanding of a few simple self-defense techniques. In the process, it raises their self-confidence and self-esteem so they can go about their daily lives with less worry and more peace of mind.
