In our Children’s Program we reinforce character traits that foster scholastic achievement: respect, duty, responsibility, perseverance, and a good attitude. We invite students to bring in their report cards to review with the Headmasters. At every turn, we encourage our students to stay in school, focus on their homework and pursue higher education after they receive their diplomas.
We have granted more than $92,000 to deserving students through the Craig P. Hutchinson Memorial Scholarship. In 1993 we established this scholarship to honor one of our best students. Craig earned his black belt at our Nashua school in 1985. He demonstrated leadership qualities in every facet of his life, inspiring many of the younger students to work harder and achieve more in school as well as in the Martial Arts. To our community’s great loss, Craig contracted infectious mononucleosis while a sophomore at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and passed away on December 30th, 1992. An honor student, Craig exemplified the spirit of the Martial Arts as he astounded the doctors at University Hospital with his courageous will to live.
Each year, we have so many qualified, deserving applicants that choosing one among them is our most difficult challenge.
